What are the conduct and conditions that foreigners must follow while staying in Nepal?

In addition to the immigration laws, every alien must comply with the following conditions and conduct:-

  • Foreigners must possess a valid visa or permit for their stay in Nepal. They should ensure that their visa is up to date and abide by the terms and conditions associated with their specific visa category.
  • Foreigners must respect and comply with the laws, rules, and regulations of Nepal. This includes following traffic laws, respecting public order, refraining from engaging in illegal activities, and cooperating with law enforcement authorities when required. They have to avoid possessing, using, or engaging in any forbidden behaviour as defined by law.
  • Foreigners should respect and contribute to environmental conservation efforts by not littering, abiding by trekking and wildlife regulations, and participating in sustainable tourism practices.
